2025 Walk ALS Hartford

Papa's Pack

Welcome to our team page- Team Papa's Pack!  We walk for our husband, father, Papa, and friend Joseph Blackwelder.   He was recently diagnosed with ALS in February of this year.  This news has shattered our hearts and lives!  We are participating in ALS United Connecticut's Walk ALS to raise funds that will support individuals and families affected by ALS.  ALS United CT has already done so much to help our Dad by providing him with essential equipment he requires to help keep him independent and comfortable.  It is our obligation to stand up and give back to an organization that has personally helped my family and others.  The organization has been nothing short of amazing to our family!  We will support them as they have always supported us!

Our Dad was completely healthy and well at the young age of 68.  Being a part of ALS United CT's Walk ALS is the number one way to unite and fundraise for those living with ALS.  Please consider supporting our efforts by donating through one of our team members fundraisng pages.  Or join us at the walk on Saturday, September 27th at Dunkin' Park in Hartford. Your donation today will help fund resources and services to the local ALS community, help find new ALS treatments, and move us closer to a world without the disease.

Please feel free to send this page to any friend or family member who might be interested in donating or would join my team "Papa's Pack" to be a part of the cure and support those affected by this devastating disease!  We will be wearing team shirts, let's pack the stadium for my Dad and the girls Papa who means the world to all of us!

Thank you!

Tricia
