Welcome to My Personal Page

Thank you for donating and helping me reach my Walk ALS fundraising goal! Walk ALS raises funds to support those affected by ALS and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
I have 1st hand experience with this disease as my husband, John, was diagnosed in May of 2006 and passed away 5 months later. His strength and courage in the face of this devastating prognosis prompted me to jump in and help. Many friends and family members have joined my Circle of Friends team over the past 20 years and I am so proud of our accomplishments.
There have been meaningful advancements in ALS research in recent years as well as expanded access to care for people living with ALS. But, we can?t stop now! The key to ending ALS starts with all of US. Please consider walking in a local walk or making a donation to my team. With your help, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of people affected by this disease.
