In October, Dayton, Ava, and I will be participating in a walk for ALS in honor of my dad. As awful as the ALS diagnose was for my dad and everyone who knew him, we were lucky enough to have the support of the Veterans Administration to allow us to get him the things needed to provide him with as much access and comfort as possible while he lived out his life with this horrendous disease.

Most families aren?t that fortunate. Along with this diagnosis, the costs associated with dealing with this diagnosis and supporting those with the disease, are absolutely mind blowing.
